Man wanted for fatal shootings of York brothers

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Police have identified a suspect wanted for the fatal shootings of two brothers last month.

Nineteen-year-old Durell Cotton Jr. is charged with two counts of criminal homicide for the June 12 homicides of 21-year-old Angel Berrios and 19-year-old Abdiel Vazquez-Soto, police said Monday.

Berrios was driving an SUV that slammed into a telephone pole on North Newberry Street at Madison Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

His brother was in the front passenger seat. He died after a bullet that struck him in the chest and abdomen, authorities said.

Police believe the fatal shots were fired in the area of Jefferson and Juniper streets.
