New Oxford fire damages home

NEW OXFORD, Pa. (WHTM) – Firefighters responded to a house fire Friday night around 11:40 p.m.

United Hook and Ladder fire department, as well as some surrounding companies, went to the house on 101 Orange Street in New Oxford Borough.

When they arrived they saw black smoke pushing from the roof.  No one was injured, the family and pets got out safely.

The firefighters had to remove an air conditioner unit and some windows in order to get the smoke out of the home.

Crews had the fire under control in less than 20 minutes.
