Police: Attempted robbery suspect enters wrong home

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A man who broke into a home was escorted out by the homeowner when he realized he had the wrong home, police said.

Officers were called to a house on the 2100-block of Lyndell Drive for a report of a burglary Saturday in East Lampeter Township.

The homeowner told police he was awakened by thumping noises and then by a man who opened his bedroom door.

The man, who was believed to be drunk, spoke with the homeowner and explained he entered the wrong house.

Investigators say nothing appeared missing or tampered with.
