Pennsylvania State Police say troopers responded to a total of 473 crashes over the holiday weekend.
Of those crashes, 4 were killed and 133 injured, police said.
According to police, 59 of the accidents were alcohol-related and 441 were arrested for DUI.
Troopers issued 10,416 speeding citations. Over 660 were cited for not wearing seat belts and 225 received citations for not securing children in safety seats.
This year’s statistics include accidents that took place between July 3 to July 5. Incidents investigated by other law enforcement agencies in the state were not included in this report.
Last year, 8 people died and 247 people were injured in the 695 crashes state police responded to.
