HARRISBURG, Pa. Law enforcement across the state plan on cracking down on drunk drivers and boaters during the Fourth of July weekend.
There are nearly 30,000 registered voters in the mid-state and police want everyone to be safe. Officers will be on the lookout for signs that someone may be drunk.
“They are looking for someone who is a half of a second slow. Who has trouble backing up their trailer who may stumble some. Who slurs their speech, “said Mark Sweepenhiser a Waterways Conservation Officer.
Last year, 16 boating crashes resulted in 17 deaths in Pennsylvania.
The public can also expect to see an increase police presence on the roads.
