Dillsburg pub to reopen after murder-suicide

DILLSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A York County pub where a man and woman were killed in a murder-suicide plans to reopen Friday afternoon.

A post on Flapjack’s Restaurant and Pub’s Facebook page states the business will open at 3:30 p.m. but will not serve food.

“We are like family in this little pub and we all need to support each other during this tragic time,” the Facebook post states. “We want to thank our patrons and staff for their support. We encourage our patrons to come in and start the healing process.”

Authorities said 31-year-old Arthur Guise of Dillsburg entered the pub in Carroll Township Thursday night and then shot and killed 33-year-old Sharon Williams of Mount Holly Springs before shooting himself.

Both died at the scene.

Coroner Pam Gay said her office was told that Williams was Guise’s ex-girlfriend.

Investigators said about 50 people were on the deck at the time of the shooting.
