Police ID victim in homicide at Harrisburg gas station

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police have identified the victim of a homicide at a city gas station early Thursday.

Investigators say Christopher J. Williams was shot in the chest at the Exxon station at 15th and State streets around 2:15 a.m. and died at a hospital.

Police said he Williams was shot outside of the station after going inside to pay.

Detectives are expected to speak with witnesses of the shooting, however, anyone with information is asked to call Det. Kirk Aldrich at 717-255-3139 or send an email to kaldrich@cityofhbg.com. Sgt. Gautsch can be called at 717-255-33130 or emailed at kgautsch@cityofhbg.com.

Police are now searching for a suspect.
