DILLSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Investigators in York County say collaboration is leading to numerous drug arrests.
Since February, Carroll Township police and the York County Drug Task Force have made 11 arrests and taken more than 1,600 bags of heroin.
The Cumberland County Drug Task Force and State Police also helped.
Investigators believe northern York County is one of the biggest areas for selling and using heroin.
“This problem is in fact everywhere. Luckily we have such proactive, hardworking police that this was something they jumped on right away. In different rural areas of the county, it may be more or less. In this area in particular, I would hope people that are considering starting a business of selling heroin may choose to go somewhere else,” said David Sunday, Chief Deputy Prosecutor.
Officials say the effort will not stop because it’s all about saving lives.
