Carlisle man gets 30 years for child sexual abuse

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Carlisle man will spend 30 years in prison for sexually abusing a child while he was living with his family at the U.S. Army War College.

Zachary Knight, 20, also faces 25 years of supervised release following his prison sentence. Under the terms of the supervised release, Knight will have restrictions on his contact with minors and his computer use, and he can have no contact with the victim or the victim’s family.

Knight was sentenced Monday by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Christopher Conner. He pleaded guilty in April to aggravated sexual abuse of a minor and production of child pornography.

Federal prosecutors said Knight videotaped his abusive acts.

Knight is the family member of an Army War College student and was living with his family in student housing when he was arrested last year.
