UPDATE: Missing student found safe in York

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – An 11-year-old boy who was reported missing has been found.

Authorities said Matthew Parker was found at around 9:45 a.m. in the Salem Square neighborhood on the west side of the city.

He was not injured.

An active search had been underway for Parker, who was last seen near his home Thursday evening.

Previously Reported: There is an active search for a York city student who has been reported missing.

According to school officials, 11-year-old Matthew Parker was last seen near his home Thursday evening.

York City police has been notified of the child’s disappearance.

Matthew is a student at Lincoln Charter School on W. King Street.

School staffers are currently looking for Matthew near the the west end of the school.
