New office buildings to be built in Cumberland County

Mechanicsburg, Pa. (WHTM) – Silver Spring Township has announced plans for a new office space project.

The township is calling it ‘Class A Office Space Project.’ According to supervisors, the project will consist of 259,000 square feet of new construction.

After all is complete, two new office buildings will stand at the intersection of Carlisle Pike and Hogestown Road.

“It has been a goal of the Township to attract a project of this type and size. We are confident that this Class A office space will benefit our business community by making Silver Spring Township even more attractive to additional restaurant, retail, and hotel projects.” said Township Supervisor Vincent DiFilippo.

The buildings’ tenant will be announced in September. The project is expected to wrap up by spring of 2016.
