Police investigate after 2 brothers killed in shooting, crash

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Police said two brothers were killed after they were shot and their SUV crashed Friday night.

Officers were called to North Newberry Street at Madison Avenue at 10:18 Friday night.

According to investigators, an SUV had slammed into a telephone pole.

Officers found the driver Angel Berrios, 20, dead. His front seat passenger Abdiel Vazquez-Soto, 19, was taken to York Hospital where he died.

According to the York County Coroner’s office, Berrios and Vazquez-Soto were brothers. A third passenger was also taken to the hospital with less serious injuries.

Investigators believe their SUV was shot at on Jefferson and Juniper Streets.

Berrios and Vazquez-Soto were shot at least once in the torso. An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday.
