HARRISBURG, Pa. The time of Sunday’s vacant building implosion has been changed.
The vacant Bertolino Building along North 7th Street will be imploded at 9 a.m. as long as the area is safe.
North 7th Street will be closed from Clinton to Herr Streets starting at 8:30 a.m. It will reopen within an hour once the implosion is finished and the area is safe. The closure could be extended if the implosion doesn’t happen on time.
The implosion was originally scheduled for 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
The implosion will make way for a parking lot for The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA). The lot should be completed by the end of September.
