The Elegance at Hershey

It’s the most elite car show of the year.

The Elegance at Hershey is coming up the weekend of June 12.

Vintage, classic and sporty cars will grace the grounds at the Hotel Hershey to cap off the weekend of events.

“To start off with we have the world’s most famous car which is the James Bond Aston Martin that was in Gold Finger with the machine guns, the ejector seat, everything,” said Mark Lizewskie of the Antique Automobile Museum in Hershey.

A 1960 Chrysler Crown Imperial Ghia Limousine, one of only 17 built is also on display. The vehicle was custom built for former New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller who was then the Vice President of the United States. “This car was used in Manhattan for his personal use. All of them had a rear quarter window, this one does not so this is even special just to this car,” said Hank Hallowell of Hershey, who owns the vintage car.

No. 7, aka Black Beauty, is a 1926 Open cockpit sprint race car owned by Dick Vermeil’s dad and personally restored by the former eagles coach, is part of the Elegance along with a 1911 Stevens-Duryea Model AA Touring. “It’s a stunning car and for 1911, it’s a huge car and quite expensive as well,” said Lizewskie.

The event benefits the Antique Auto Museum in Hershey and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
