Brown to face confirmation hearing this week

A confirmation hearing is set for Wednesday for acting State Police Commissioner Marcus Brown.

Brown was criticized for wearing a Pa. State Police uniform since he didn’t graduate from the academy.  He’s also come under fire for removing signs that were critical of him near his Hampden Township home.

Some Republican senators said Brown doesn’t have enough votes for approval.

A spokesperson for Governor Tom Wolf said he stands behind Brown but realizes there may be issues with his confirmation.
