FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. (WHTM) – People who live near Fort Indiantown Gap may hear increased noise during live-fire training over the next several weeks.
The military training facility is scheduled to host live-fire mortar exercises June 2-3 and June 10, demolition training June 7-14, and 155-mm live-fire exercises using Paladins and Howitzers June 16-28, according to a new release Friday.
The exercises are scheduled each day between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire military training facility in Pennsylvania.
Training that will result in increased noise is announced as a courtesy to nearby residents.
