2 accused of stealing $144,000 from Mennonite Home

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Two women are facing charges they stole from the Lancaster County retirement community where they were employed.

Deborah J. Lopez, 37, of Lancaster, and Victoria A. Felix, 42, of East Petersburg, are accused of defrauding the Mennonite Home, at 1520 Harrisburg Pike, of $144,000 between January 2012 and April 2015, Manheim Township police said in a news release.

Each was charged with theft by deception and criminal conspiracy.

Police said Lopez was a certified nursing assistant and conspired with Felix, the scheduler at the home, to manually add hours to Lopez’s payroll sheets and the two would then share the money that was overpaid.

They were arraigned and released on $40,000 unsecured bail.
