Police investigate source of heroin overdoses in Lebanon County

LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating several drug overdoses, including one that resulted in death, in Lebanon County over the past several weeks.

The suspected drug used in the overdoses is heroin packaged in unmarked, dark blue/violet packets, according to a news release Monday from state police in Jonestown.

Police said the particular batch of heroin is highly toxic and potentially laced with other chemicals and/or substances.
