Harrisburg man wanted for assault

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are looking for a city man who’s wanted for an assault that caused multiple fractures to a woman’s face.

Daniel Weikel, 28, knocked the 51-year-old woman to the ground and stomped her face with his foot, police said in a news release.

Police said the incident occurred May 10 in the 400 block of South 14th Street. Officers had responded to the scene for a report of a large fight, but saw no one fighting when they arrived.

A warrant has been issued for Weikel’s arrest. He is charged with simple assault.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call the Dauphin County Police Dispatch at 717-558-6900 and ask for a city detective.
