PennDOT revises speed limit on 23 miles of Route 22

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – PennDOT has revised speed limits on 23 miles of Route 22 between Lower Paxton Township in Dauphin County and Bethel Township in  Lebanon County.

The changes were made as a result of improvements by construction projects over the past 10 years, according to a PennDOT news release.

The speed limit was increased from 45 to 50 mph from Shannon Drive in Lower Paxton Township to the East Hanover Township line, and from 50 to 55 mph from the East Hanover Township line to the Lebanon County line.

From Old Route 22 in Swatara Township, Lebanon County to Mount Zion Road in Bethel Township, the speed limit has been increased from 40 to 50 mph.

Signs for the change in speed limits were installed this week.
