Attempted child luring reported in Drumore Township

HOLTWOOD, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating a report of an attempted child luring in southern Lancaster County.

State police said a boy reported the incident Wednesday afternoon in the area of Oregon Hollow and Silver Spring roads in Drumore Township.

The child told troopers that a man in a red pickup stopped in front of him and a white vehicle stopped behind the truck. One of the drivers said “come here” before the boy ran across a field to a neighbor’s house, police said in a news release.

The boy described the man in the pickup as “fat with a big belly,” with shoulder-length brown hair and a bandanna tied around his head. The driver of the white vehicle was also “fat” with shoulder-length brown hair, a goatee beard, and he was wearing a red baseball cap with the bill pointed to the back, police said.
