Man gets 5-12 years for fatal hit-and-run in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County man will spend at least five years in prison for a fatal hit-and-run crash.

Brandon M. Bleecher, 24, of Manheim Township, was sentenced Friday to 5-12 years in prison for the January 18 crash that killed 68-year-old Charles Leayman.

Leayman was struck in a crosswalk at the intersection of West Lemon and North Mary streets.

Bleecher pleaded guilty last month to accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed and several related offenses.
