Police have charged a Palmyra woman with furnishing alcohol to minors.
Kathleen M. Wicker, 41, is charged with 15 counts of furnishing alcohol to minors, one count of corruption of minors and one count of endangering the welfare of children.
Police say the charges stem from a nearly month-long investigation that began on April 13 when police say they were made aware of allegations that Wicker gave alcohol to minors on the Palmyra High School Girl’s softball team at her home on the 400 block of East Cherry Street in Palmyra Borough.
Police identify Wicker as the coach of the softball team in the criminal complaint.
According to the paperwork, Wicker provided alcohol to minors on multiple occasions and would drink with the students and play drinking games with them.
Police noted that the investigation was delayed because some parents “chose to not cooperate with law enforcement.”
Wicker reportedly turned herself in on Tuesday at 1 p.m. She was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
Wicker is not currently listed on the Palmyra School District softball team page as the coach but is listed as a contact. Abc27 has reached out to the school district for comment, but the district has not returned our calls.
