Boil water advisory for some Dauphin County residents

Capital Region Water has issued a boil water advisory for 21 properties in Susquehanna Township, Dauphin County.

Officials say there was a loss of positive water pressure after a contractor damaged a line while repairing a 2″ water main. Officials say the repair is complete and service has been restored.

The customers that are impacted live on Poplar Street, Short Street, Maple Street, Walnut Street, and Old Orchard Road at the following addresses:

  • Poplar Street: 3430, 3428, 3426, 3424, 3422, 3420
  • Short Street: 430, 116, 114, 112, 108, 105, 52, 50, 41, 39
  • Maple Street: 3431, 3430, 3429
  • Walnut Street: 3439
  • Old Orchard Road: 3430

Officials say they went door to door notifying customers.

If you live in the affected area, you are advised to boil water before using it for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and food preparation. Capital Region Water says it will notify customers when the advisory is lifted.
