Middletown man arrested for attempted bank robbery in Marietta

MARIETTA, Pa. (WHTM) –  A Middletown man has been arrested for an attempted bank robbery in Lancaster County.

Anthony Jay Osborne, 29, is accused of demanding money from the Susquehanna Bank at 1154 River Road in Marietta, according to Susquehanna Regional police.

OsbornePolice said on April 13 he handed over a note demanding cash, but fled without money when a bank employee refused to return the paper to him.

No one was injured.

Osborne was charged with robbery and sent to York County Prison on a parole detainer.
