$1,080 in counterfeit $20s passed at Carlisle Walmart

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating an incident where a man used counterfeit $20 bills to make purchases at the Carlisle Walmart.

Borough police said the man used $1,080 in fake twenties on Thursday.

The incident is similar to others that have occurred in Cumberland County since January.

Lower Allen Township police said a man used $820 in counterfeit $20 bills to buy a television at the Camp Hill on Jan. 5, and two men passed 15 counterfeit $100 bills at the store on April 10.

Silver Spring Township police reported that two men passed counterfeit $100 bills at the Mechanicsburg Walmart in March.
