City leaders push to get guns off Harrisburg streets

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – City leaders are calling for action in a push to get illegal guns off Harrisburg streets.

State Representative Patty Kim, Police Chief Tom Carter and others gathered Saturday at the Harrisburg Brethren in Christ Church in support of what they call sensible gun laws.

Those affected by gun violence shared their stories.

Heeding God’s Call organized the event. The group has conducted more than 60 vigils mourning Harrisburg’s gun violence victims.
