HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Linglestown man was arrested after police said he went on a small crime spree of burglaries and tire slashings.
Kristian A. Carter, 19, was attempting to smash a glass door at the First Choice cigarette outlet, at 1327 N. Mountain Road, when a neighbor alerted officers to the attempted burglary at around 5:23 a.m. Wednesday, Lower Paxton Township police said.
The responding officers chased Carter to a home in the 6000 block of Linglestown Road, where a resident of the same block reported that beer had been stolen from his refrigerator after someone forced their way into his locked garage, police said.
Other residents of the area told the officers that five vehicles had tires slashed.
Evidence of the crimes was found at Carter’s home, police said.
He was arrested and charged with the two burglaries, along with a previous burglary at the First Choice on March 28, and five counts of criminal mischief for the tire slashings.
He was sent to Dauphin County Prison on $25,000 bail.
