Woman shot during robbery in Harrisburg home

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are looking for two men who shot a woman during a robbery Wednesday afternoon at a home in the 600 block of Dauphin Street.

Tavone Ashford, 21, and Shawn Phillips, 23, entered the home with the intent to rob a man who was visiting, and a shot fired during a struggle struck the woman in the stomach, city police said in a news release.

She was taken to a hospital for surgery and will recover, police said.

Ashford and Phillips have been charged with robbery and conspiracy. Phillips faces additional counts of aggravated assault and firearms offenses.

They fled the scene in a vehicle that was abandoned at N. Cameron and Maclay streets and were last seen running south on N. Cameron, police said.
