MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) – When it comes to weather, there’s no doubt as to whether or not it affects us. Students studying meteorology hosted a free event to educate the community on that importance.
It was all part of the seventh annual Millersville University Public Weather Awareness Day held Saturday at the university’s Pucillo Gymnasium.
Climate-related demonstrations showed visitors how weather systems are born and their influence on regional and local weather patterns.
Those in attendance also had the opportunity to meet and talk with people working in the forecasting profession.
Kids even got the chance to showcase their skills in front of the green screen.
