Police investigate “swatting” incident in Dauphin County

Police were called to a Lower Paxton Township home Wednesday night for a report of a male holding two people at gunpoint, when they arrived police identified the incident as a “swatting” incident.

According to police, the call came in around 7 p.m. Wednesday for a male caller stating he had two people held at gunpoint in a home on the 3800 block of Club Drive in Lower Paxton Township.

Lower Paxton Township Police and Susquehanna Township Police responded and surrounded the home but after making contact with the homeowner, police found the scene was clear and the residents were fine.

Police say they take “swatting” incidents very seriously. While no one was injured in this incident, police say, “people were seriously inconvenienced.”
