CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Police have filed charges against two 13-year-old girls for their alleged roles in an assault Saturday night in the 300 block of North Hanover Street.
A woman told officers she was walking home when a group of juveniles began calling her names just after 8 p.m. As she kept walking, she said one of the juveniles ran up behind her and struck her in the face, Carlisle police said in a news release.
When she grabbed the child to avoid getting hit, she said the group surrounded her, struck her until she fell to the ground, and then stomped her, police stated.
The victim received stitches above her right eye.
The two unnamed girls were charged with simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct.
