HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Two Harrisburg women were arrested after police said they tried to obtain a fraudulent prescription for Oxycodone.
Susquehanna Township police said a fraudulent prescription was dropped off at the Rite Aid pharmacy on Walnut Street and 28-year-old Kristal Azul Lopez was caught in the act March 24 as she tried to pick up the order.
Police said they continued to investigate and learned multiple forged prescriptions were previously dropped off at several locations in the area and 29-year-old Sharde Chenault was involved.
Chenault was charged with conspiracy to obtain possession of a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, criminal attempt to obtain a controlled substance, attempted insurance fraud, possession of instruments of a crime, tampering with evidence, and possession of a controlled substance.
She was sent to Dauphin County Prison on $300,000 bail.
Lopez was charged with criminal attempt to obtain possession of a controlled substance and insurance fraud.
Her bail was set at $5,000.
