HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A man who was shot in the leg Tuesday night told police the shooter asked him for a lighter then pulled and fired a handgun as he reached for one.
The 33-year-old victim was treated for a gunshot wound to the thigh at a hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, city police said in a news release Wednesday.
Officers found the limping man at around 8:20 p.m. when they responded to a report of a possible shooting victim walking in the area of Cameron and Herr streets.
The victim told police he was shot while walking on Cumberland Street after visiting a friend.
He described the shooter as a tall and skinny male wearing all black clothing and either a scarf or ski mask on his face, police said.
