Preliminary hearing set for Chambersburg doctor charged with sexual assault

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Franklin County doctor will be in court this week after police said he sexually assaulted three women and a 13-year-old girl.

Sohael Raschid, 57, is an obstetrician and gynecologist.

According to police, he slipped date-rape drugs into three females’ drinks and sexually assaulted them.

One of the victims was a 13-year-old girl.

She told police she blacked out after Raschid gave her a drink with vodka at his Hamilton Township home.

Police said Raschid assaulted a fourth woman last week when he fondled her in the backseat of her car as her husband drove them home.

Raschid is facing rape, statutory sexual assault and several other related charges.

His preliminary hearing is set for Tuesday.
