Turkey Hill in East Hempfield robbed 3rd time this month

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A Turkey Hill Minit Market in East Hempfield Township was robbed early Monday for the third time in two weeks.

Township police said at this point they believe the latest robbery was committed by the same man who held up the 1503 Columbia Avenue store on March 3 and March 9.

He was wearing a surgical-type mask and a Navy blue Penn Manor Comets jacket like the one worn during the second robbery, police said.

All of the incidents have occurred during the early morning hours. The latest occurred at around 3:30 a.m., the first at 2:40 a.m., and the second at around 1:15 a.m.

In each case, the robber entered the store and demanded cash while no customers were around. He fled to the east each time and no vehicle was seen in the parking lot, police said.

No one has been injured and no weapons have been displayed.

Investigators said the man is white, about 5’8″ tall, has white facial hair and a medium build.

Anyone with information should call Detective David Bender at 717-898-3103.
