NEW HOLLAND, Pa. (WHTM) – A man had a note demanding money but displayed no weapon when he robbed an Earl Township bank this morning.
New Holland police said the man robbed the Ephrata National Bank branch at 935 North Railroad Avenue at around 9:30 a.m.
He then ran across Route 322 and entered a dark green four-door sedan, possibly a Volkswagen, that was last last seen traveling north on Wanner Road. Police said he entered the passenger side of the vehicle as the driver was waiting for him.
Customers were in the bank during the robbery. No one was injured.
Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect, who is described as in his early 40’s with dark hair, a scruffy face, and about 5’5″ to 5’9″ tall with a small build. He was wearing a checkered shirt, dark pants, a knit hat, and tinted sunglasses.
