Man used credit card after smash-and-grab car theft, police say

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who tried to use a credit card after it was stolen in a smash-and-grab car theft.

Manheim Township police said a window was smashed and a purse was removed from a car parked in the 1800 block of Fruitville Pike between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday.

A short time later, the man in the photo tried to use the victim’s credit card at a nearby store, police said.

Police have released a surveillance photo so that someone may recognize their suspect.
