HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A York man will spend 18 months in a federal prison for impersonating an FBI agent.
Brandon H. Schnetzka, 41, was sentenced Thursday by Senior U.S. District Court Judge Sylvia Rambo.
Schnetzka claimed to be an FBI special agent in order to get a Lexus loaner vehicle from a Mechanicsburg dealership last March. After multiple requests, he returned the vehicle after using it for eight days, according to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith.
He pleaded guilty to one count of impersonating an officer or employee of the United States on July 30.
