LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating the possible attempted abduction of a 39-year-old Lebanon woman.
The woman told officers that a man exited a vehicle, grabbed her scarf from behind, and attempted to pull her inside his car, police said in a news release.
She said she struggled and broke free from her attacker and was able to run away.
The woman reported that the incident occurred at around 6:20 a.m. Wednesday as she was walking north on 12th Street and approaching Guildford Street.
She said the man was in a vehicle that stopped on Guilford Street at the stop sign facing west, and the assault occurred as she crossed the street.
The man was last seen driving south on 12th Street in a small, black four-door sedan with tinted windows that was described as very shiny, police said.
Investigators are looking for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time. Anyone with information is asked to call Lebanon police at 717-272-6611.
