LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Police have arrested a Lancaster man who allegedly assaulted the mother of his children during a six-day incident in which he kept the woman from leaving her home.
Felix Santiago-Caraballo, 18, surrendered to a district judge and was arraigned Wednesday on charges of aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, simple assault and terroristic threats, police said.
He was then released on $20,000 unsecured bail.
The woman told authorities that Santiago-Caraballo came into her home under the guise of visiting their children but was armed with a handgun. She said he refused to let her and the children leave between March 1 and March 6 and assaulted her several times during those six days.
Lancaster Crime Stoppers was offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that led to Santiago-Caraballo’s arrest.
