Route 625 work to begin this week

BOWMANSVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Construction crews are scheduled to begin work this week on more than eight miles of Route 625 in Lancaster County.

The work is scheduled to start Wednesday, weather permitting, according to a PennDOT news release.

The $2.6 million project includes tree trimming, drainage improvements, roadway base repair, resurfacing, and new signs from Route 23 in East Earl Township to the Berks County Line in Brecknock Township.

Drivers may encounter single-lane traffic restrictions with flaggers assisting them through the work zone on weekdays after 8:30 a.m.

The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of August.
