HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Three New York men have admitted in federal court that they possessed 62 counterfeit credit cards when they were stopped for speeding on Route 30 in York County.
Danillo Vargas, 26; Jeriel Delosangeles, 25; and Miguel Almonte, 22, all from Bronx, entered the guilty pleas Monday, according to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith.
The three were was arrested in November 2013 following a traffic stop near Hellam Township.
Authorities said 26 counterfeit Mastercard, American Express and Visa credit cards and a fake Florida driver’s license were found in the car, and search warrant turned up an additional 36 counterfeit cards and a bogus Connecticut driver’s license.
Fifty-four counterfeit cards were in Almonte’s name.
The government’s investigation found no charges had been made to any of the cards.
A sentencing date has not been set.
