York Coroner’s Office: Worker died during industrial accident

YORK, Pa. (WHTM)– The York County Coroner’s Office said a long time employee at New York Wire Company died after an industrial accident.

It happened at the company’s warehouse along the 800-block of Loucks Mill Road in Spring Garden Township at 8:50 p.m. Friday.

Deputy Coroner Jeffri Goodfellow said Stanley Foller, 63, of York died of asphyxiation. The York Daily Record is reporting a spool of wire that weighed several thousand pounds fell on Foller’s chest.

Spring Garden Township Police are investigating. OSHA will also launch its own investigation.
