EAST BERLIN, Pa. (WHTM) – A tractor-trailer went off a snow-slickened roadway Thursday and crashed into an Adams County restaurant – and this wasn’t the first time it’s happened.
Neil Annis, owner of Sidney’s Tavern in East Berlin, says his business along East King Street has been struck a dozen times over the years.
He said the restaurant was still under repairs from the last time it was hit when the truck crashed into his porch.
“I heard the noise, I didn’t know if it was snow related, and I saw there was an 18-wheeler on my porch,” Annis said.
“It’s taken out three or four pillars. All of them are damaged. Every single one will have to be taken out. The whole thing will have to be ripped off.”
Annis says he has no plans to sell his business, but he does home East King is widened in the near future.
