Police seek tips in Walmart TV thefts

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a pair of TV thieves who struck twice at a Walmart store in York County.

West Manchester Township police released surveillance photos from the store at 1000 Town Center Drive, where the thieves walked away Feb. 18 with a 60-inch Element television valued at $800.

The pair returned Saturday and tried to steal two more TVs, 55-inch Samsung models worth $998 each, but they were confronted by a manager as they were loading the sets into their car, police said.

The manager was able to grab one of the TVs from the trunk as they fled.

The car is a silver sedan and has a license plate that includes the letters “GDW.” A rear side window is broken out and covered with plastic and tape, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the men in the photos is asked to call Officer Justin Hobbs at 717-792-9514 or 911.
