Work to begin on Route 116 in Bonneauville

BONNEAUVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Preparatory work is scheduled to begin next week on a project to repair a section of Route 116 near Bonneauville.

The work zone is a 2.8-mile section of Route 116 from just east of Wheatland Drive just west of Honda Road in Mount Pleasant Township, according to a PennDOT news release.

Drivers may encounter single-lane traffic restrictions with flaggers assisting them through the work zone on weekdays after 8:30 a.m.

People should allow for additional time or find an alternate route.

The $1.3 million paving project is scheduled to be completed by the end of May.

Route 116 is locally known as Hanover Road.
