Petition aims to overturn alcohol ban in Windsor Township

There’s a push to overturn an alcohol ban in a York County community.

Windsor Township announced Wednesday it has started a petition to put that issue on the May ballot. They need 1,200 signatures.

The ballot referendum would ask if the township should allow alcohol sales at restaurants.  Those who wish to sign the petition can go to the township office by March 9.

A similar push is going on in Upper Allen Township, Cumberland County.  The group “Upper Allen Citizens” needs 1,400 signatures on its petition to get it to a vote in May.
