Duncannon asks residents to conserve power in cold weather

DUNCANNON, Pa, (WHTM) – Duncannon Borough is asking residents and businesses to conserve power during the extreme cold temperatures in the forecast for the rest of the week.

The Perry County borough made the request to reduce costs and to avoid power outages.

Residents and businesses are asked to conserve electricity by unplugging small appliances and electric chargers, turning off televisions and computers that are not in use, lowering thermostats, and covering drafty doors and windows during the peak hours of 7 p.m. Thursday to mid-morning Saturday.

Anyone who loses power or has problems with their water should notify the borough immediately.
