4 things you need to know to watch the Oscars

Our entertainment experts at BiteSizeTV broke down Hollywood’s biggest night for us to give you a viewer’s guide.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (MEDIA GENERAL) – Hollywood’s biggest night is just days away. Awards will be won. Fabulous dresses will be worn. And, someone will probably cry. We spoke to Kristen Brockman, host of BiteSizeTV’s Hollywood Today Live, to get a viewer’s guide to the Oscars.

Who will we all be talking about Monday?

Boyhood” will take Oscar for Best Picture and people who don’t keep up with the other awards shows will finally be renting it on Monday to see what all the fuss is about,” Brockman said.

Which stars are most likely to make the biggest splash on the red carpet?

“This year it’s anybody’s guess. So far, there has been no “Lupita” of Awards Season 2015 fashion. Julianne Moore has been pretty consistent with her looks and I know she will be FLAWLESS, this is her night!” Brockman told us.

“I’m hoping for Keira Knightly to step up her game big time after some very interesting choices so far this year at Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice.”

What fashion trends should we watch for?

“Expect less detail, more silhouette, and lots of glam–this is the Oscars after all!” Brockman said.

Any upsets this year to watch for?

“I don’t think we’ll see too many upsets, but I’d love to see Benedict Cumberbatch walk away with the trophy for Best Actor. Keaton and Redmayne were incredible, but Cumberbatch’s charming portrayal of the genius mathematician Alan Turing has a special place in my heart,” said Brockman.

BiteSizeTV will be working with us all weekend long to bring us the best of the Oscars 2015. The Oscars air Sunday night on ABC.
